Puppy Cam

November 14th, 2008 by Bryan

Well if you haven’t seen it you should. Pretty much a camera and puppies as a live stream. Get your cuteness quota in for the day. Better hurry though, they will be adopted at some point.

Do you RSS?

Have a hard time keeping track of your favorite blogs or websites?  Like the one’s that don’t update everyday….like mine.  You can use RSS to keep track of them.  It basically gives you a notice when a site has updated.  I personally use Mail on a Mac.  But you can use Firefox, or lots of other standalone apps.  Personally I like having it built into an app I already have running.  It ives most of the story and if you want to read more jut click on it and it takes you directly to the page.

Spam WTF?

March 16th, 2008 by Bryan

Ok, I normally just delete spam I get.  For some reason I read this one, no idea why.  But there was no links, nothing attached, so why the fuck would you send a message like this?  It doesn’t sell anything and it sure as hell doesn’t make any sense.  Anyone else get anything out of this cluster fuck of words?  Some people should never had been born.

A spanish translation of it by father francisco play on the
grass sometime, and we’ll pick flowers told him i had never
seen it in the bible, and sometimes, you know, i did feel

Sweet, my house

Looks like we’ve made Google Map’s Streetview. Pretty cool, you can see our Mini and the Jeep in the driveway. Can’t believe they did the Triangle before other regions. How do you get the job to drive the car around taking photos of all the streets in the US anyway? Sounds fun.

January 29th, 2008 by Bryan

I love eBay, it’s America’s Garage sale.  It’s also pretty funny the stuff you can find on there.  Such as…

Run you car on water for $250

Or

Become Invisible!

ummm…sure.

Photo Rights 102

January 9th, 2008 by Bryan

OK, Don’t believe me about protecting your rights of your content? I spoke about it a few months ago with my Blogging Photo Rights 101. Now I want to talk about how you should protect the content you have. Yesterday’s post about being paid fair is only half of it. You need to make sure no one, and even more so, big media is making money off of your hard work. This includes music, photos, painting, your blog. It’s yours and you should stand up for your (copy)rights.

The Washington Post today has an article about companies such as Fox, Virgin Mobile, and Microsoft using people’s work and not wanting to pay for it. Actually just stealing it and not even telling them. In the article Niall Kennedy is quoted as saying “This is a company that goes after copyright violators with the assumption of guilty until proven innocent.” Damn right, so why let someone like that steal from you?

So take little time and read the article
Hey, Isn’t That . . . by Monica Hess

It’s well worth it.

Pay the Writer

January 8th, 2008 by Bryan

OK, this video has been goign around quite a few photographer forums and I also wanted to post it here. Pretty much, you should expect to not get paid for your work. if your a writer, photographer, musician, whatever…it’s your work and a “byline” or the thrill of seeing your work published is not enough. Hell, with how easy and free it is to make a blog, forum, or self-help magazine it shouldn’t be a thrill anymore anyway.

The King is Dead, Long Live the King

December 28th, 2007 by Bryan

Netscape is dead.  As of today AOL stopped producing the grandfather, long lived, and once leader of the internet browser.  Since I worked the browser in the last few years and used Netscape in it’s infancy, I feel a bit sad.  Do I still use the clunky, system hog of the 2007 browser?  Well, no.  I use FireFox, just as The Netscape Blog is now telling people to do.

If your using the craped out, over done and non-creative IE, switch to FireFox.  You can thank me later.

Lucy Armor!

December 7th, 2007 by Bryan

Oh, our dog Lucy totally needs this.  Next time she takes on Chris’ dog Madison she’ll defiantly win.  She’d look great at the dog park also.  Of course with the squirrels sporting this, Lucy might be in for a fight.  Man, at only $500, it’s a bargain.
