Ok, at some point I’ll get back to putting some photos back on this blog. Right now I’m getting ready to fill in for 3 weeks at Kent State teaching Photo Technology, should be fun. Anyway, Tina Fey still rules…
You can listen to Kings of Leon’s newest album now on Last.fm. I have to say their site has terrible usablity, but the music is there, so go listen, it’s worth it. Might be their best album to date.
I spent the past few days at The Winery at Wolf Creek just east of Akron shooting photos for a story for the Ohio Farm Bureau’s magazine Our Ohio. Andy and Deanna Troutman where kind enough to let me run all over their farm taking photos of them, the tasting room and the growing grapes, soon to be turned into wine. If your ever near Akron, I reccomend stopping in their tasting room and enjoying their great wine. Here’s a few outtakes from my shoot. Also trying out my new gallery feature, click an image to see it larger.
What can I say, it’s Radiohead. If your a regular reader of my site you already know I’m a big fan of them and their stand against the norm of the music industry. Not just musically, but how they distributed their last albumIn Rainbows. Anyway, I was excited to shoot them for the second time. There is always an excitement about shooting someone as big as Radiohead and 3 songs seems to fly by in no time compared to others. I think it went well, pushing and shoving my way around the photo pit to get the shots I wanted. The stage was great, the weather finally cooled a little and pulling out the 300mm f/2.8 never hurts to get the closeups. Nothing like an almost 7 lb off-white lens in the middle of a mosh pit. I included a few photos today as a feature….enjoy.
