ahhh…ebay

ahhh…ebay

I love eBay, it’s America’s Garage sale.  It’s also pretty funny the stuff you can find on there.  Such as…
Run you car on water for $250
Or
Become Invisible!
ummm…sure.

Recording Session

Recording Session

My band Early Morning Swim, went to the studio yesterday. I’m fairly tired today. We got their around 3:00 and left at 10:00. I think I played drums for about 4 1/2 to 5 hours strait. Here’s a few photos.

Bonnaroo Book

Bonnaroo Book

Flaming Lips at Bonnaroo 2003

So I’ve started re-editing my 5 years of photos from Bonnaroo. In 2003 I borrowed work’s digital camera, which it’s longest lens was a 70mm, really not great for some shows. But it actually worked fairly well for the most part. My second camera was my old Pentax film [...]

Scout II

Scout II

Ok, I found how to get good shots of Scout. Take her and Lucy on a 2 mile walk. Let Scout sleep for about 10 minutes, get everything ready and throw her on the table.

She’s a little sleepy

Maybe a little grumpy

Ok, better

She’s getting bigger. We got her at 6 weeks old and [...]

New Spree video

New Spree video

Polyphonic Spree has a new video for their song”We Crawl” it’s directed by indie film maker, Dante Harper. Pretty nice, shows the real life of the band members and some meaning behind the song.  Oh ya, you can enter to win one of their robes as well.

Radiohead to Tour N America

Radiohead at Bonnaroo 2006

Sweetness. One of the best bands I’ve seen live. I’ll have to go see them again, and probably just enjoy the show instead of shooting. Dates are not out yet, but here’s the cities. Well worth an hour or two drive.

Photo Rights 102

Photo Rights 102

OK, Don’t believe me about protecting your rights of your content? I spoke about it a few months ago with my Blogging Photo Rights 101. Now I want to talk about how you should protect the content you have. Yesterday’s post about being paid fair is only half of it. You [...]

Pay the Writer

Pay the Writer

OK, this video has been goign around quite a few photographer forums and I also wanted to post it here. Pretty much, you should expect to not get paid for your work. if your a writer, photographer, musician, whatever…it’s your work and a “byline” or the thrill of seeing your work published is [...]

Featured Photography

Featured Photography

About 2 months ago I joined a new stock photo agency called PhotoShelter. They just launched in November and I’m fairly excited about it. One big thing, they pay a 70/30 split on photos instead of the standard 50/50 split most stock places give. I was contacted by one of their Photo [...]

5 dangerous things you should let your kids do

5 dangerous things you should let your kids do

Great talk. I don’t have kids yet, but at some point I will and I’ll probably follow similar standards, much to the dismay of their grandparents. I took chances when I was a kid, explored outdoors, took things apart, didn’t sit in front of a TV or video game all a day, and [...]

Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

Nice version for the New Year of the Daft Punk song. Took lots of practice I’m sure.

New Family Member

New Family Member

Well, Gretchen and I went through quite a few names (thanks Woody), but we settled on Scout, as in from “To Kill a Mockingbird.” Lucy is “adjusting” to the energetic puppy (more details below). She’s a golden retriever from Gretchen’s aunt and one of 10 in the liter. I’m thinking of starting [...]
