So, today’s a good day. Rush finally releases a new album with new music on it, Snake and Arrows. I just got it from iTunes, so haven’t really heard too much of it yet. But as always, they are reinventing themselves, changing their sound and masters at their respective intruments interweaved with great lyrics. I’m sure Eric will have more on the album soon enough.
Next up today is Tori Amos’ new album American Doll Posse.
It was up yesterday on AOL’s Full CD Listening Party. Sounds great, I would recommend it if you like her at all. I’ve always been a fan of her and this album may be as strong as her 1994 release, Under the Pink.
Last up for today would be Black Rebel Motorcycle Club released Baby 81 today also. The trio from LA sounds great, rocking from one side of the dial to the other it may yet be their best. You can listen to 3 of their songs on their myspace page now. They will also be in Columbus June 4.
Ok, I went ahead and bought BRMC, Baby 81, wow, great album, this really is a great year in music, hell, great day in music. Rush’s new album is great, Tori Amos is back with a vengeance, and Baby 81 rocks like it’s 1999. Can’t wait for the new Spree, Wilco and who ever else is gracing us with new music in the coming months.
I like the new Rush CD. There will never be another Permanent Waves or Moving Pictures, but Snakes and Aarows is a good addition to the Rush Library. A little mellow for my taste, but still a good listen. Heck, it’s Rush right?
