Gambling the Muse
So last night Gretchen and I decided to actually leave the house and go see some music. The Pour House is a great local bar in downtown Raleigh. I mostly wanted to see Gambling the Muse as I had found them yesterday on Myspace as a local band. They had a great sound. Folksy, acoustic, great lyrics and sound. you can hear them at their Myspace page or their website, gamblingthemuse.com. Give them a listen.
The 2nd and headliner of the night was Downtown Senate. Bit more up tempo. Good soild band, and defiantly let me know I was now in the southern music scene. I guess as a headliner I was expecting more, though it was a Wednesday night. I thin kI would have reversed the lineup and had Gambling the Muse be the headline, but that’s just me. Though I don’t want to take anything away from Downtown Senate, they where soild, great band, I think that they missed that something extra.
